Robert E. and Helen L. Kirkley Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria:

The purpose of the fund is to provide a scholarship to a senior of Plymouth High School, Plymouth, Indiana.  The scholarship is to be awarded as an engineering education scholarship(s) for a graduating senior.  The scholarship award(s) may be in partial or full payment of tuition, books, and room and board for being enrolled in a fully accredited four-year (4) engineering or engineering technology program at a college and/or university of the recipient's choice. The scholarship(s) will be awarded annually and not renewable to individual recipients. The applicant must provide a certified copy of their SAT with a minimum score of 1000, or ACT with minimum score of 27.  The applicant must have a 10.5 average or above on a 12 point system.  The applicant must have demonstrated leadership skills and an interest in the community through community service.  The applicant must have demonstrated traits of responsibility, integrity, honesty and accountability.  In the event that two or more candidates are equally qualified, financial need may determine which candidate receives the award.  Financial need will be a significant consideration for all applicants.  Only applications from students enrolling as first-year students will be accepted.  The applicant must provide three letters of recommendation:  Two letters must be from administrators, teachers, or others associated with the high school.  The third letter must be from someone outside of school, unrelated to you.
