Foundation Announces Generations Initiative Results
12/21/07 --
The Marshall County Community Foundation (MCCF) is very pleased
to announce it has received over $700,000 from contributors for
new and existing funds since the launch of the Generations Initiative
on May 1, 2007. MCCF has added over $175,000 in matching money to
the funds.
The Generations Initiative enables existing and new fund holders to benefit generations of Marshall County citizens. Every dollar contributed, up to $100,000 per permanent fund, will receive a 25-cent match from the MCCF Generations Initiative-adding a potential maximum of $25,000 extra to the permanent fund. This opportunity is the first time in the Foundation's history that donors receive matching funds directly from the Foundation. Matching funds will be awarded on a first come, first served basis through June 30, 2008 or until the $500,000 is expended.
The Generations Initiative is a wonderful opportunity for the citizens of Marshall County to leave a lasting benefit to future generations. You can now give a monetary gift of your choice to one of over 200 funds held by the Community Foundation, or start a new fund, with the Foundation adding more money for every dollar you contribute! The matching funds will strengthen each fund to provide even greater impact. You can make a year-end gift to the Community Foundation by calling (574) 935-5159 or mailing a contribution to MCCF, P.O. Box 792, Plymouth, IN 46563. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
The mission of the Marshall County Community Foundation is to serve all of Marshall County, its people and its future through the growth and administration of endowment funding and philanthropy.
